Variable Insulation Breadth (VIB) Stone

In the Mediterranean it is quite feasible to construct an intelligent house not needing an external energy source for heating with the 25 cm Styrostone . However that is of course not enough for Great Britain or Ireland.

Here in the UK climate, more insulation in the walls is necessary and for that reason Styro Stone has developed the Super RR (35 cm with Neopor) with a u-value of 0,14, However in some cases, even that is not enough

The problem to solve was the difficulty in the handling of styro stones with a breadth of more than 35 cm. The castellations of the styro stones have to fit tightly. The wider the insulation layer, the more difficult it becomes to lay the styro stones, demanding increased force to connect the following courses.

The VIB-Stone permits any choice of insulation breadth:

* without violating the quality-standards for tight fitting castellations

* without increased efforts to lay the larger stones

The VIB-Stone gives you any range of insulation breadth within a 50 mm grid, theoretically indefinately. By staggering the additional insulation leafs we facilitate tight fitting castellations and ensure all elements to be in uniform alignment.
